(SBU) On Feburary 23 Charge presented reftel demarche to 
Foreign Secretary H.M.G.S. Palihakkara.  Palihakkara agreed 
that issuing a statement condemning the attack on the shrine 
was consistent with his government's strong stand against 
terrorism and support for religious tolerance.  He undertook 
to propose such a statement to his superiors.
