Understanding cables

ΒΆ1.  Post delivered reftel demarche to Lydia Saadat, the 
DAS-level Director for Asia, Middle East and Latin America in 
the Austrian Foreign Ministry's Development Assistance 
Division.  Saadat said she expected Austria to make a 
decision after January 9 regarding the level of its 
commitment at the January 31-Febraury 1 London conference. 
Post will continue to follow up with key officials during the 
Austrian decision cycle.
