ΒΆ1. (SBU) Embassy delivered para 4 reftel demarche via 
non-paper to MFA Africa and Middle East Affairs director Jose 
Juan Hernandez Cimadevilla on November 2, emphasizing our 
request that the Dominican Republic issue a statement 
rejecting President Ahmadi-Nejad's recent inflammatory 
rhetoric against Israel and the United States.  Hernandez on 
November 4 told us that he had forwarded our non-paper to 
Deputy Foreign Minister Alejandra Liriano for decision and 
that he would inform us of the result.
