Understanding cables
Every cable message consists of three parts:
  • The top box shows each cables unique reference number, when and by whom it originally was sent, and what its initial classification was.

The Peruvian Foreign Ministry, by Diplomatic Note dated 9/12, 
informed the Embassy that a local company, Alicorp S.A.A. has 
donated 350 cases of cookies/crackers for Hurricane Katrina 
victims, and that these cookies are currently in the GOP's 
possession.  The cracker/cookie donation consists of: 
 
--  Soda Crackers (95 cases) 
--  Vanilla Cookies (95 cases) 
--  Coconut Cookies (50 cases) 
--  Orange Cookies (50 cases) 
--  Mini-crackers (60 cases) 
 
Total weight:  571.8 kilos.
