Understanding cables
Every cable message consists of three parts:
  • The top box shows each cables unique reference number, when and by whom it originally was sent, and what its initial classification was.

(U)  Pol/Econ chief May 18 delivered reftel demarche 
concerning Thomas Buergenthal's candidacy for re-election as 
a judge of the International Court of Justice to MFA Director 
for Multilateral Affairs Ghassan Shaikho.  He pledged to 
review Judge Buergenthal's CV and expected that Bahrain would 
support his re-election.
