Understanding cables

A/DCM joined Dutch Ambassador Hugo Scheltma (as local 
representative of the EU Presidency) and EU Commission 
representative Anna Gallo in delivering ref B demarche. 
Foreign Ministry Secretary General Madadha received the 
demarche in the absence of FM Qasrawi, who is at the Euro-Med 
conference in Luxembourg.  Madadha indicated Qasrawi would 
likely represent Jordan (as reported ref A), and undertook to 
confirm this in the coming days.
