Understanding cables

Pol/Econ chief delivered reftel demarche April 18 on the 
Belarus resolution at the UN Commission on Human Rights in 
Geneva to MFA Director for International Organization Affairs 
Ghassan Shaikho.  Shaikho said he appreciated the update on 
the issue, but noted that as of January 2005, Bahrain was no 
longer a member of the Commission.  He promised to consider 
our points should the matter come before the UNGA in 
September.
