Understanding cables
Every cable message consists of three parts:
  • The top box shows each cables unique reference number, when and by whom it originally was sent, and what its initial classification was.

Action Request: On March 28, Taiwan Executive Yuan, 
Counter-Terrorism Office Specialist Herman T.C. Chiu informed 
econoff that the Taiwan government proposes that a Department 
of Energy team visit Taiwan during the second half of April 
or in May to discuss implementing the Megaports Initiative in 
Taiwan.  Please inform AIT/T whether this time frame is 
acceptable to the Department of Energy.  Chiu also asked how 
long the visit would be and whether the team would prefer a 
joint meeting with representatives from various Taiwan 
agencies or individual meetings with each agency.
