Understanding cables
Every cable message consists of three parts:
  • The top box shows each cables unique reference number, when and by whom it originally was sent, and what its initial classification was.

RADICAL ORGANIZATION "SEGI".  SHE LATER BECAME A MEMBER 
OF THE BASQUE PARLIAMENT FOR "SOZIALISTA ABERTZALEAK 
(SA) A NEW CONSTITUTED RADICAL GROUP TO REPLACE 
OUTLAWED "BATASUNA".  SHE FLED TO FRANCE IN JAN. 2004 
WHEN SPANISH JUDGE BALTASAR GARZON, IN CHARGE OF THE 
INVESTIGATION ON ETA'S POLITICAL AND MILITARY 
CONGLOMERATE, INCLUDED HER IN THREE OF THE ON-GOING 
INDICTMENTS AGAINST THE NETWORK.  IN APRIL 2004, THE 
SPANISH JUDGE ISSUED AN INTERNATIONAL WARRANT OF ARREST 
FOR HER.

-    THE SPANISH NATIONAL COURT ISSUED A WARRANT OF 
ARREST FOR BERROSTEGIETA ON FEB. 2003, AFTER HE AVOIDED 
DETENTION BY FRENCH POLICE DURING AN OPERATION AGAINST 
ETA'S LOGISTICS AND RECRUITMENT NETWORK IN SOUTH
