Understanding cables
Every cable message consists of three parts:
  • The top box shows each cables unique reference number, when and by whom it originally was sent, and what its initial classification was.

If you find meaningful or important information in a cable, please link directly to its unique reference number. Linking to a specific paragraph in the body of a cable is also possible by copying the appropriate link (to be found at theparagraph symbol). Poloff on 8/11 presented reftel demarche urging support for 
firm action against Iran to Romulo Acurio, Advisor on 
Non-Proliferation to the Director General for Multilateral 
Affairs at the Peruvian Foreign Ministry.  Acurio did not 
have an immediate response.  Post will follow-up with Acurio 
on 8/12 and provide any comments we receive on reftel points.
